About

Built to find problems worth solving.

SolveSignal exists to systematically discover real problems worth solving, starting from ordinary friction rather than from ideas.

What we are looking for

We collect observations of friction: repetitive tasks, frustrating processes, inefficient workflows, awkward workarounds, manual coordination and everyday annoyances, in business or in life. A useful observation describes what actually happened, who it happened to, what they were trying to get done, and what doing it today costs them.

You don’t need a solution, a business case or any technical expertise. A firsthand account of something that was harder than it should have been is the whole contribution.

What happens to a signal

We keep what you wrote in your own words. Over time we look for observations that share an underlying problem and a similar situation, and we look just as hard for counterexamples. Where a pattern seems to matter, we talk to the people who live with it to understand the real episodes, what they already use, and what the consequences are.

A single observation is evidence to examine, not proof of a market. Several similar observations are a reason to go and ask better questions, not a decision to build anything. Anything we do build follows from that work, deliberately, and only after it holds up.

What this is not

SolveSignal is not a public database of submissions, a community, a voting platform, a marketplace or a startup-idea exchange. Submissions are not published, and there is no public feed to browse.

Who we are

SolveSignal is a venture of Lightware Media Inc. This is version 0.1, and it is an experiment: we are testing whether people can recognize and describe this kind of friction, and whether the result reveals opportunities worth investigating.
